Out of the Dark

At long, long last, we're finally emerging from the nuclear winter. Today, we've been enjoying positively tropical temperatures. People are frying eggs on the pavement and dancing in the streets.

Ok, now the truth: the sun came out, the temperature rose to 8 degrees, and for the first time since September it was possible to leave the house without being bundled up like Nanook of the North.

Even better, flowers have started peeping bravely above ground, bringing some much-needed colour to the city's cheeks.

At this rate, we should have a full springtime bloom by July.
